Me wasting my time and yours... on the Xbox 360.

Well, since I pulled out the 2011 iMac to do some classic TechTV and G4 conversion and I'm in the middle of processing a bunch of files on that machine right now, I figured no time like the present to download some Xbox 360 games I bought on the Xbox.com website AFTER the Xbox 360 Marketplace was killed on the console back in July 2024.

On that note, you did know that Microsoft put out an update back around 2013 or so that lets you use a 2TB external hard drive for backing up games, right? And you did know that you can still buy Xbox 360 games on their website and download them to your Xbox 360 console through the "Download History" in your Account section on the console, right?

Well... sometimes their systems get a little "confused" and think you don't actually own a game you do, or an error pops up as their servers can't be reached, or the console thinks you downloaded a Trial and not the full game. Just keep trying... and trying... and trying and don't think about the fact that you'll likely be dead sometime in the next half of the century. Everything will all be fine.

Speaking of which, I should probably back up THIS external hard drive as well.

Anyway... I can't seem to access Ninja Gaiden Black and it doesn't even recognize that I bought Sid Meier's Pirates at all. But everything else seems to download fine, still. 🤔 Receive SMS online on sms24.me
