Will AI Replace Human Creativity? | Aritra Sutradhar & Denira Coleman | TEDxLondonBusinessSchool

What happens when a piece of music moves you - only to realise it was created by AI in seconds? In this performative talk, Denira Coleman and Aritra (Ari) Sutradhar challenge our assumptions about creativity by taking us from ancient ragas and operatic scores to algorithms. Rather than framing AI as a threat, they suggest it may become a collaborator: pushing us to rethink creativity, experience, and meaning in a rapidly evolving world. Aritra Sutradhar, spent most of his career building at the intersection of creativity, technology, and business.

He began in education strategy, designing higher education programmes across India and Africa, before moving into enterprise technology, working across the Founder’s Office, brand, and product roles at a Data & AI company headquartered in Singapore.

Alongside this, music has remained a parallel discipline throughout his life. Trained in Hindustani classical violin and voice, Aritra has engaged with it through multiple lenses — as a composer, performer, educator, and entrepreneur — including leading a multi-city Vienna Boys’ Choir tour and building music production and publishing programmes in India. He is currently completing his MBA at London Business School, where he leads the Tech Club podcast and the Education Club. He also built The Graduate Network: a fast-growing community of 2,000+ students and alumni across 15+ institutions, including Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial, INSEAD, Stanford, and Columbia.

Denira Coleman is a South African Greek opera singer, entrepreneur, and MBA candidate at London Business School. After a decade of performing professionally on international stages, she founded DSC For Artists, a digital marketing consultancy dedicated to helping young artists build sustainable and visible careers on and beyond the stage. With first-hand experience across both artistic practice and commercial strategy, Denira’s perspective is informed by years spent navigating both the opera world and the digital landscape, where emerging tools are quietly redefining how creative professionals build relevance, reach, and new forms of creative expression.
