Über 150 Jahre lag das Wrack verborgen – jetzt taucht es im trüben Wasser des Lake Michigan wieder auf. Der einstige Luxusdampfer „Lady Elgin“? Nein: die „Lackawanna“? Nein – die „Lackawanna Belle“? Korrekt: der Luxusdampfer „Lackawanna Belle“ galt seit 1872 als verschollen. Das Passagierschiff sank in einem Sturm, acht Menschen starben. Die Organisation Shipwreck World entdeckte das Wrack bereits im Oktober 2022 rund 30 Kilometer vor Kenosha, hielt den Fund jedoch geheim. Nun werden spektakuläre 3D-Aufnahmen erstmals beim Ghost Ships Festival in Wisconsin gezeigt.Q
