DONALD TRUMP reaccionó este 20 de mayo de 2026, al bajar del avión presidencial, a la acusación del Departamento de Justicia de Estados Unidos contra Raúl Castro, y calificó la jornada como un día IMPORTANTE para los cubanoamericanos.El mandatario describió a Cuba como una nación fallida que "se cae a pedazos" y se mostró dispuesto a ayudar en términos humanitarios. Recordó el respaldo del 94% del voto cubanoamericano y afirmó: "Queremos liberar a Cuba".
Trump atribuyó el avance al trabajo del secretario de Justicia. Preguntado por una posible escalada militar, respondió que no la cree necesaria porque, a su juicio, el régimen "ha perdido el control".
Sobre el embargo, sostuvo que terminará "cuando caiga el régimen" y adelantó que "pronto habrá anuncios".
