PANGKALPINANG, KOMPAS TV - Bertempat di titik nol Pangkalpinang, para pencinta kain tradisional Bangka Belitung, yaitu kain cual, adakan peluncuran paguyuban pecinta kain cual Kepulauan Bangka Belitung pada Sabtu ( 29/6 ) petang.
Paguyubang ini merupakan suatu wadah dan komunitas yang bertujuan untuk melestarikan dan mengapresiasi nilai-nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam kain cual.
Kain cual merupakan kain tradisional Negeri Serumpun Sebalai Kepulauan Bangka Belitung yang memiliki keunikan dan keindahannya sendiri.
Kegiatan yang dihadiri oleh para pecinta kain cual ini, nantinya akan melakukan serangkaian kegiatan. Seperti loka karya, mengenalkan kain cual kepada masyarakat terutama generasi muda, menenun, pemilihan benang, dan lain sebagainya.
Kain cual ini telah masuk ke dalam warisan tak benda.
Artinya, kain cual ini merupakan warisan nenek moyang yang memiliki nilai kebudayaan yang tinggi, sehingga harus dijaga dilestarikan agar tidak punah.
