Il termine stesso solleva interrogativi: l’intelligenza, per definizione, appartiene agli esseri viventi, agli animali e in modo particolare all’uomo. Una macchina, per quanto sofisticata, resta tale.
La questione non è puramente semantica. Il modo in cui chiamiamo le cose ne orienta la percezione pubblica. Parlare di “intelligenza” può indurre a credere che questi sistemi siano autonomi, neutrali, imparziali. In realtà, ogni #tecnologia è progettata, programmata e guidata da esseri umani. Dietro ogni algoritmo ci sono scelte, criteri, priorità. E dietro queste scelte si collocano inevitabilmente visioni del mondo, interessi economici e, talvolta, orientamenti ideologici.
L'intelligenza artificiale può essere uno strumento potentissimo di supporto, ma non può sostituire la responsabilità individuale, la capacità di dubbio, l'analisi critica.
Il futuro non dipenderà soltanto dall'evoluzione degli #algoritmi, ma dalla volontà di continuare a usare la propria mente come primo e insostituibile strumento di giudizio.
