KOMPAS.TV - Tidak adanya dokter spesialis dan alat yang memadai, seorang ibu hamil asal Kepulauan Sepudi, Sumenep, Jawa Timur, harus dirujuk ke rumah sakit di daratan.Namun, lamanya perjalanan lebih dari tiga jam membuat sang ibu terpaksa melahirkan di atas kapal.
Ibu bayi dan bidan puskesmas berharap, pemerintah segera membantu penyediaan dokter spesialis dan alat operasi yang memadai di puskesmas kepulauan. Hal ini untuk mengurangi risiko kematian ibu hamil karena kendala untuk melahirkan.
