Tuttavia, osservando i risultati ottenuti finora, sembra che dalla montagna sia nato il classico topolino. E la montagna, nel nostro caso, è una montagna di debito.
Le stime più citate indicano che tra il 2021 e il 2026 il #PIL pro capite italiano sarebbe cresciuto soltanto del 2,2%, un dato che appare deludente rispetto alle aspettative e alle promesse iniziali. Una delle principali criticità è che gran parte dei progetti finanziati dal Recovery Fund era già prevista nei bilanci dello Stato italiano. Per questo motivo il PNRR non ha rappresentato un vero volano aggiuntivo per l'economia, ma piuttosto una diversa modalità di finanziamento di spese già programmate.
