St.Leon-Rot: Am Mittwochabend gegen 20:40 Uhr ereignete sich am Autobahnkreuz Walldorf ein Verkehrsunfall mit einem Sattelzug. Der 32-jährige Fahrer war auf der A6 in Richtung Heilbronn unterwegs und wechselte am Kreuz auf die Tangente zur A5 in Richtung Karlsruhe. Aufgrund möglicherweise nicht angepasster Geschwindigkeit auf nasser Fahrbahn verlor er die Kontrolle über sein Fahrzeug, kam nach links von der Fahrbahn ab und prallte in die Leitplanke. Laut Angaben der Polizei wurde der Lkw-Fahrer dabei schwer verletzt und in ein Krankenhaus gebracht. Der Aufprall beschädigte den Kraftstofftank, was zu einem größeren Dieselaustritt auf die Fahrbahn führte. Der Sattelzug, der unter anderem 3000 Liter Getriebeöl geladen hatte, musste von einer Fachfirma geborgen werden. Wegen der Bergungsarbeiten und der Reinigung der Fahrbahn blieb die Tangente zur A5 in Richtung Karlsruhe bis 05:30 Uhr gesperrt. Der Sachschaden wird nach ersten Schätzungen auf 85.000 Euro beziffert.
