Mereka dilepas oleh Wali Kota Depok Supian di halaman Balai Kota Depok.
Para pelajar dikumpulkan pada pukul 06.00 WIB dan melakukan sejumlah aktivitas seperti baris-berbaris serta latihan yel-yel sebelum dilepas.
Proses pelepasan para siswa tersebut berlangsung haru, beberapa dari mereka menangis sembari berpelukan.
Mereka kemudian menaiki truk TNI sembari membawa sejumlah barang kebutuhan selama pembinaan.
Sedianya, jumlah siswa yang dikirim ke barak militer mencapai 100 orang, namun 10 di antaranya tidak hadir.
Belum diketahui alasan ketidakhadiran 10 siswa tersebut.
Wali Kota Supian Suri mengatakan, kegiatan pembinaan karakter Bela Negara tersebut sudah rutin dilakukan oleh Pemkot Depok tiap tahun.
Menurut Supian, mulanya program tersebut hanya berisi materi dari para narasumber.
Namun untuk tahun ini, konsepnya berubah menyesuaikan program dari Gubernur Jawa Barat Dedi Mulyadi.
Yakni para pelajar ditempa dari segi fisik, kedisiplinan, dan mental.
Terkait anggaran, Supian memastikan program ini dibiayai oleh Pemkot Depok melalui Badan Kesbangpol.
