BELGIEN: BRANDKATASTROPHE IN BRÜSSEL – Fünf Tote im Aufzug entdeckt – Polizei ermitteltFeuerdrama in Brüssel. Bei einem Gebäudebrand mitten in der Innenstadt haben Einsatzkräfte fünf Tote entdeckt. Die Leichen lagen in einem Aufzug. Das teilte der zuständige Staatsanwalt mit. Eine weitere Person wird noch immer vermisst. Das betroffene Gebäude wird derzeit umgebaut. Die Brandursache ist nicht bekannt. Die Feuerwehr war zunächst wegen eines Feuers zu dem Gebäude gerufen worden. Sie löschte den Brand schnell. Bei einem anschließenden Kontrollgang entdeckten die Einsatzkräfte die Leichen. Der Zivilschutz will versuchen, den betroffenen Bereich zu räumen. Feuerwehr und Ermittlungskräfte wollen klären, was geschehen ist und was das Feuer verursacht hat. Zunächst sollen die Opfer identifiziert und ihre Familien informiert werden.
