Das bestätigten beide Kriegsparteien und die Vermittler bei den indirekten Verhandlungen im ägyptischen Scharm-el-Scheich.Laut US-Präsident Trump werden alle von der Hamas verschleppten Geiseln freigelassen. Im Gegenzug sollen Palästinenser aus israelischen Gefängnissen freikommen, außerdem sollen die Hilfslieferungen in den Küstenstreifen verstärkt werden. Israel zieht gemäß der Vereinbarung seine Truppen auf eine vereinbarte Linie zurück. Trump sprach von ersten Schritten zu einem starken, dauerhaften Frieden.
