(LaPresse) Davide Simone Cavallo, vittima di una violenta aggressione avvenuta in Corso Como, nell'ottobre 2025, è un «poliziotto ad honorem»: la nomina per il 22enne è arrivata durante la cerimonia in occasione di San Michele, patrono della Polizia, alla Scala di Milano, da parte del capo della Polizia, Vittorio Pisani. «Non abbiate paura di nulla se non della morte - ha detto Cavallo dal palco - Ho recitato nella vita, come attore, in teatri piu piccoli di questo, e mai avrei immaginato di essere qui non come attore, ma come poliziotto, forse per la cosa che ho fatto nel momento più debole e difficile della mia vita. Per me è la prova che ho fatto bene». Il riconoscimento va al 22enne perché, si legge nelle motivazioni, «attraverso la compassione profonda, sensibilità e amore per la vita, ha mostrato spiccate e rare qualità umane», rinunciando a «sentimento di rivalsa», nei confronti dei suoi aggressori, ha «offerto prova di umanità e resilienza», trasmettendo «un messaggio di speranza e comunità alle nuove generazioni». Cavallo, durante il processo a carico dei suoi aggressori, ha chiesto al giudice di potersi avvicinare a loro per abbracciarli e perdonarli, così come aveva già fatto in una lettera indirizzata loro in precedenza. Il titolo onorifico è stato istituito nel 2020 dal Dipartimento della Pubblica Sicurezza, vuole valorizzare le straordinarie qualità umane e professionali di cittadini che si sono distinti particolarmente con i loro comportamenti, esprimendo in concreto i valori che ispirano la Polizia di Stato.
