MPR Bersikap soal Surat Tuntutan Pemakzulan Gibran dari Purnawirawan TNI, Ogah 'Langkahi' DPR

Terkait pemakzulan itu, MPR menyebut baru bisa membahasnya atas usulan DPR
Dikutip dari Kompas.com, hal itu disampaikan Wakil Ketua MPR RI, Hidayat Nur Wahid pada Kamis (5/6).
Ia mengatakan MPR baru bisa membahas surat desakan pemakzulan Gibran ketika DPR sudah menggelar sidang terkait usulan tersebut.
"Memang sebagaimana ada dalam surat yang rekan-rekan bagikan itu, dari pihak Forum Purnawirawan juga menyebutkan bahwa MPR baru bisa melakukan itu (membahas) atas usulan DPR," kata HNW di Kompleks Parlemen, Jakarta, Kamis (5/6/2025).
Menurut HNW, proses pembahasan usulan pemakzulan masih panjang untuk dibahas di MPR.
Pasalnya, keputusan pemakzulan tersebut akan dibahas ke DPR.
Lalu nantinya akan dibawa ke Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK).
Seusai itu, tuntutan pemakzulan Gibran akan kembali ke DPR lagi, baru masuk ke MPR.
"Karena kalau apapun keputusannya kan DPR dulu, setelah itu baru ke MK, MK balik ke DPR, DPR baru ke MPR. Jadi masih panjang itu ya," tegasnya.
