«Mi trovo nella discesa di viale Annunziata, accanto al museo: ci sono dei quadri per strada, come se qualcuno li avesse rubati e appoggiati qua. Sono quadri del museo che valgono un sacco di soldi. Secondo me qualcuno li ha lasciati qua in attesa di riprenderli». Sono le parole pronunciate da Elisabetta Bonfato, cittadina di Messina che sabato sera ha avvertito la polizia del furto dei quadri al Museo regionale Accascina.L'audio della segnalazione giunta al Numero unico d'emergenza 112 e passata alla Centrale operativa telecomunicazioni, è stato diffuso dalla polizia. I quadri rubati si sono rivelati poi opera di Antonello da Messina.Sul furto indaga la procura della città dello Stretto.
