Unachtsames Wenden führt in Mannheim zu schwerem Unfall
Mannheim: Am Samstagmorgen gegen 08:10 Uhr kam es in der Helmertstraße in Mannheim zu einem schweren Verkehrsunfall. Der Fahrer eines Renault Kangoo wollte nach dem Ausparken wenden und achtete dabei offenbar nicht auf den fließenden Verkehr. Ein Hyundai i20, der die Straße mit möglicherweise überhöhter Geschwindigkeit befuhr, krachte in die Fahrerseite des Renault.Der 47-jährige Fahrer des Renault wurde schwer verletzt und in ein Mannheimer Krankenhaus eingeliefert – zeitweise bestand Lebensgefahr. Auch der gleichaltrige Hyundai Fahrer wurde verletzt und zur weiteren Behandlung ins Krankenhaus gebracht.
Beide Fahrzeuge wurden stark beschädigt und mussten abgeschleppt werden. Der Sachschaden liegt bei rund 40.000 Euro. Zur Klärung der genauen Unfallursache wurde ein Gutachter hinzugezogen. Ob der Reno-Fahrer angeschnallt war, ist noch unklar. Der Verkehrsdienst Mannheim hat die Ermittlungen übernommen. Receive SMS online on sms24.me
