The 25 Best Games I Played in 2025

I've been wanting to try something different than the usual gameplay videos for years now, so I thought a GOTY list would be a good place to start! Fair warning, I have monkey-level editing skills, and I didn't scrip most of this - I just started speaking off the cuff. I figured that since my favorite channels on YouTube are just guys who turn their camera on and talk about the things they like, going off topic or on random tangents, I could try it too. Unfortunately, I think a 'script' or at least bullet points works better for me, because I ended up cutting things out while I was editing. The flow might be weird in certain places because of that, but it is what it is! I tried...

I don't think I mentioned this anywhere, but I tried to use all of my own gameplay footage for every video. When I talk about the casual games I liked, like RPGs or AAA blockbusters, I don't record anything while playing, so I used trailers instead. I hope that doesn't get my video flagged for reused content or something dumb like that. So if you see a game that looks interesting, be sure to check my channel for the full video!
(Also, of course, I had to at least 1CC any arcade game I talk about... you can't rate these games if you don't know how to play them~)

I had fun trying something new, but I'm itching to get back to games now. I haven't touched one since I started working on this, probably over a week ago at this point...
