La Unión Europea ha señalado que mantendrá abiertas todas las opciones tras el plan de la administración de Donald Trump de aumentar los aranceles a los automóviles europeos hasta un 25 % la próxima semana.
Entre los países europeos, Alemania es el más afectado por estos aranceles. La Asociación Alemana de la Industria del Automóvil afirma que los aranceles impuestos por Estados Unidos en 2025 provocaron una caída interanual del 9 % en las exportaciones de automóviles alemanes hacia el mercado estadounidense.
