Chairman CT Corp yang juga menjabat Ketua Dewan Usaha Kadin, Chairul Tanjung (CT) mengatakan kini tengah terjadi perubahan generasi, dari Baby Boomers ke generasi milenial dan zelenial, alias Gen Z, yang berdampak ke perilaku masyarakat, terutama dalam konteks politik, ekonomi, dan sosial budaya.Menurutnya pengaruh generasi milenial dan zelenial terhadap sosial budaya sangat besar, terutama menjelang pemilu mendatang. CT mengatakan penting bagi para calon pemimpin memahami karakter dan perilaku generasi ini.
Chairman CT Corp ini menjelaskan generasi Z dikenal sebagai digital native, sehingga terbiasa dengan teknologi sejak kecil, bahkan sejak bayi. Lanjutnya, Gen Z sangat aktif di media sosial seperti Instagram dan TikTok, yang kini didominasi oleh generasi muda ini.
CT menambahkan, semangat kewirausahaan para Gen Z tinggi, sekitar 55%. Banyak dari mereka di Indonesia, menurut CT bercita-cita menjadi pengusaha, bahkan sudah mulai berbisnis sejak kuliah berkat kemudahan teknologi digital.
