Il 3 febbraio 2026 la Commissione Giustizia della Camera dei Rappresentanti degli Stati Uniti ha pubblicato un rapporto di 160 pagine — intitolato "The Foreign Censorship Threat, Part II" — che accusa la Commissione europea di aver usato la pressione regolatoria del DSA per influenzare sistematicamente la moderazione di contenuti politici da parte delle grandi piattaforme online. Il documento, basato su materiali interni delle Big Tech acquisiti tramite mandati di comparizione e citato nel dibattito in Europarlamento, documenta oltre 100 incontri a porte chiuse dal 2020 in cui funzionari europei avrebbero fatto pressione sulle piattaforme per censurare contenuti su pandemia, migrazione e questioni transgender.
Secondo il rapporto, la Commissione avrebbe interferito nelle elezioni nazionali in Francia, Irlanda, Paesi Bassi, Romania e Slovacchia, nonché nelle elezioni europee del 2024. La Commissione ha respinto le accuse definendole "pura assurdità" e "completamente infondate".
