(LaPresse) Il Presidente della Repubblica, Sergio Mattarella, ha ricevuto questa mattina al Quirinale il presidente della Palestina, Mahmoud Abbas. «L'Autorità nazionale palestinese è un interlocutore assolutamente fondamentale per l'Italia e per la comunità internazionale, in questo periodo in maniera particolarmente intensa. Occorre procedere con grande concretezza per gli aiuti umanitari e la ricostruzione di Gaza e verso la creazione di due Stati nella regione». Così il Presidente della repubblica nel corso dell'incontro con il presidente della Palestina Abu Mazen, «In questo momento è particolarmente importante poter dialogare con lei, confermando la grande amicizia che lega Palestina e Italia e che in questo periodo si è ulteriormente consolidata con una vicinanza particolare» ha poi ribadito il Capo dello Stato.
