Saut heran lantaran Tom Lembong divonis 4,5 tahun penjara padahal majelis hakim menyebut bahwa eks Mendag itu tidak menikmati suap atau keuntungan pribadi.
Ia juga menyoroti fakta bahwa sejauh ini hanya Tom Lembong yang diseret ke muka hukum akibat kebijakan mengimpor gula mentah.
Padahal kebijakan serupa juga diterapkan terhadap para menteri perdagangan lainya.
Pernyataan itu disampaikan Saut dilansir dari Kompas.com pada Sabtu (26/7).
Saut heran karena enam menteri juga melakukan hal yang sama, namun yang diseret ke muka hukum hanya Tom Lembong saja.
"Enam menteri melakukan yang sama, satu menteri yang dihukum, prosesnya semua sama," kata Saut.
Saut menilai proses pengadaan impor gula yang dilakukan Tom Lembong sudah seusai prosedur, termasuk atas perintah dari Presiden ke-7 Jokowi.
Menurutnya prosedur yang dilakukan Tom Lembong itu juga sama seperti sejumlah menteri lainnya.
Oleh karena itu sangat heran dan tidak menyangka dengan sikap Hakim yang menjatuhkan vonis 4,5 tahun terhadap Tom Lembong.
"Cara dia (hakim) ngejelasin itu, gue tungguin detail, enggak ngantuk sedikit pun gue sambil ngeliatin jaksa di ujung sana, gue liatin mukanya, akhirnya tunduk-tunduk kayak gini, kayak menyembunyikan mukanya gitu, kan. Gue liat ini dia aja enggak confidence itu memutuskan itu," ujar Saut. (Tribun-Video.com/Kompas.com)
