MERCEDES-WERKE IN USA: Neue Verbrenner sind eine "echte Cash-Cow"! Das weiß auch Donald TrumpNach einem Gewinneinbruch plant Mercedes-Benz eine strategische Neuausrichtung, um wieder profitabler zu werden. Der Autobauer kündigte Maßnahmen an, um die Produktionskosten bis 2027 um zehn Prozent zu senken und die Fixkosten weiter zu reduzieren. Ziel sei es, die Umsatzrendite der Pkw-Sparte wieder in den zweistelligen Bereich zu bringen, so Finanzchef Harald Wilhelm. 2024 lag sie bei 8,1 Prozent, nach 12,6 Prozent im Vorjahr. Werksschließungen in Deutschland sind nicht vorgesehen, Stellenabbau soll über Fluktuation erfolgen.
Das Unternehmen erwartet weiteren wirtschaftlichen Gegenwind, insbesondere durch schwächelnde Absätze in China. 2024 sank das Konzernergebnis um 28 Prozent auf 10,4 Milliarden Euro, der Umsatz um 4,5 Prozent auf 145,6 Milliarden Euro. Die Pkw-Verkäufe fielen auf 1,98 Millionen Einheiten, nach über zwei Millionen im Vorjahr. Trotz Herausforderungen setzt Mercedes-Benz auf neue Modelle wie den CLA und spricht von der „größten Technologie- und Produktoffensive“ der Unternehmensgeschichte.
