Bagi pendukung Trump atau kalangan Partai Republik, keputusan tersebut dianggap tepat.
Namun, sebaliknya dari oposisi yakni Partai Demokrat justru menganggap Trump menyalahi konstitusi.
Hal ini karena putusan untuk menyerang Iran tidak dikonsultasikan terlebih dahulu dengan Kongres AS.
"Soal perang susah juga kalau diberi tahu yang pro mana yang kontra mana. Jadi jangan-jangan ada dari dalam Kongres sendiri yang memberi tahu pada Iran sendiri," ujar Prasetyo dalam wawancara bersama Tribunnews, Senin (23/6/2025).
Prasetyo sejauh ini belum melihat gelombang demo yang masif pascaserangan AS ke Iran, namun situasi politiknya panas.
"Saya selalu melihat berita di TV tidak ada apa-apa memang di New York, tapi memang panas jadi antara pro dan kontra," imbuh dia.
Sebagai informasi, Soeko Prasetyo berasal dari Kota Solo, Jawa Tengah.
Ia telah menetap di New York sejak 1971 dan kini menjadi warga AS.
Pria yang akrab disapa Om Pras ini juga aktif mengikuti perkembangan geopolitik di Negeri Paman Sam.
