Đinh Xuân Sáng (SN 1984, Thanh Nguyên, Thanh Liêm, Hà Nam) bị bắt sau khi lẩn trốn tại khu vực biên giới Việt Nam - Campuchia, kết thúc tuần lễ truy nã. Sáng là nghi can chủ mưu vụ nổ súng làm chết cô gái 22 tuổi ở Long Biên, Hà Nội. Công an Hà Nội, phối hợp với lực lượng biên phòng, đã bắt giữ Sáng sau khi theo dấu suốt 7 ngày đêm. Theo lời khai của các đối tượng và tài liệu điều tra, vào ngày 2/7, Sáng cùng đồng phạm đi đánh nhau với nhóm của nạn nhân tại Long Biên sau một mâu thuẫn nhỏ tại buổi sinh nhật. Sáng đã sử dụng súng bắn và khiến nạn nhân tử vong. Hành vi của Sáng đã được đồng phạm khai nhận sau khi họ bị bắt và đưa về trụ sở Công an Hà Nội.
