Adapun isu tersebut muncul setelah pencopotan Kepala SMP Negeri 1 Prabumulih, Roni Ardiansyah viral di media sosial.
Dalam jumpa pers di kantor Kemendagri, Jakarta pada Kamis (18/9), Arlan menegaskan bahwa sang anak selalu diantar oleh sopir saat berangkat sekolah.
Arlan lantas menjelaskan duduk perkara yang tengah viral di media sosial ini.
Hal ini bermula pada 5 September lalu ketika sang anak tengah berlatih marching band yang berlokasi tak jauh dari SMPN 1 Prabumulih.
Arlan berujar, kala itu sang anak dihubungi sang guru agar kembali ke sekolah bersama siswa lainnya yang tengah berlatih.
Teman-teman anaknya kemudian menumpang mobil yang ditumpangi sang anak untuk kembali ke sekolah lantaran hujan deras.
Namun, sopir Arlan tidak diperbolehkan masuk ke area sekolah, sehingga anak-anak tersebut keluar hujan-hujanan.
Sebelumnya, Arlan sudah mengklarifikasi soal isu pencopotan terhadap Roni Ardiansyah sebagai kepsek.
Arlan menegaskan, Roni hanya ditegur berkaitan dengan kasus siswa lain.
Adapun Roni saat ini sudah diperbolehkan bertugas di SMPN 1 Prabumulih.
