Filmde, amcasından kalan mirası almak için İstanbul’a gelen Memiş’in başına gelenler anlatılır. Memiş, yaşadığı köyde çok sevilmektedir. Memiş’e yıllar önce İstanbul’a giden amcasından miras kalmıştır. İşadamı olan amcasının yardımcısı olarak çalışan Orhan, servetine konmak için Memiş’in amcasını kaza süsü vererek öldürmüştür. Orhan’ın amacı, dalavere ile Memiş’e vekâletname imzalatmak ve bütün servete el koymaktır. Orhan’ın oyununu fark eden Memiş, bütün parayı ihtiyaç sahiplerine dağıtmaya karar verir. Memiş, küçük arkadaşı Ali ve İstanbul’da tanıştığı gazeteci Gül ile Orhan’ın oyunlarını bozacaktır.
