Namun ini merupakan serangan tertinggi Hizbullah di wilayah yang dikuasai Israel.
Seorang pejabat Hizbullah mengumumkan operasi ini berlangsung pada Minggu (77/2024).
Operasi ini terjadi kurang dari satu jam setelah Menteri Keamanan Israel Yoav Gallant mengancam Lebanon dari Gunung Hermon.
Hizbullah meradang dengan pernyataan Gallant yang berjanji akan terus menggempur Hizbullah meski terjadi gencatan senjata di Gaza.
Sebagai bentuk balasan, Hizbullah pun menyerang Gunung Hermon.
Di mana di wilayah tersebut terdapat pusat pengawasan utama.
Selain itu spionase dan pertahanan udara IDF untuk memantau Suriah, Irak, Yordania, dan sebagian Arab Saudi.
