If your recurve sight needs left or right adjustments every time you change distance, your center shot might not be the problem. Your bow cant and sight alignment could be causing it.In this video, I show you how I use a Hamskea Third Axis Level as a setup and training tool for recurve and barebow archery.
Even though we can’t use a level while competing in these divisions, it’s incredibly useful during setup and practice. I use it to set my sight level to match my natural bow cant and to diagnose whether my cant changes while I’m aiming, expanding, or executing the shot.
I’ll also compare the newer Hamskea Gen2 Pro 3rd Axis Level to the older Simple Hamskea Third Axis Level. After using both, I actually prefer the older model for the way I use it and ended up buying another one.
