Son zamanlarda uçak kazaları neden arttı?

2024 yılı, ticari havacılık açısından son 6 yılın en ölümcül yılı olarak kayıtlara geçmişti. Uçak kazalarında 2024’ten önce, en son 2018’de bu kadar çok ölüm oranı görülmüştü. Özellikle 2024’ün son günlerinde, uçak yolculuklarının güvenliğinden şüphe ettiren 2 ölümcül uçak kazası meydana geldi. Azerbaycan Hava yolları Embraer E190, 25 Aralık’ta 38 yolcu ve mürettebatın ölümüne sebep oldu.

29 Aralık’ta da Güney Kore’nin Muan şehrindeki pist boyunca kayan Jeju Air Boeing 737, bir duvara çarpmadan ve alev almadan önce uçaktaki 181 yolcu ve mürettebattan 2’si hariç tüm herkesin vefat etmesine neden oldu. Ayrıca yılın başında bir Japan Airlines Airbus, Tokyo hava alanına inerken alevler içinde kaldı fakat 279 kişinin tamamı kurtulmayı başardı. Benzer şekilde 5 Ocak 2024’te Alaska Hava yollarına ait bir Boeing 737 Max’teki bir kapı tapası patladı ancak neyse ki 177 kişi hayatta kaldı.
