I was always planning to redo all of the bosses on carnage with no damage, but after doing a couple it felt almost identical to my action difficulty clears and I didn't see much point. So instead I decided to go for issen only clears. I still used other attacks for damage to keep the fights more interesting, but other than blue and pink attacks that require dodging or parrying to avoid, I only used issen to handle everything else.
This was made much easier by the Bishamon Sword. For those unaware, after completing carnage difficulty you're given the Bishamon Sword which makes issen timings significantly easier. So it makes all of the otherwise awkward timings a breeze. I also used the Oni Awakening quite often which speeds up bosses and makes the timing even wider, but I decided to just go for faster kills as I thought it'd be more entertaining to watch.
With this approach it felt easier than my original no damage clears on action mode, as you're basically cancelling every attack combo with issen. But it still feels rewarding and fun either way. Overall I had a brilliant time with this game. I don't think I'll go back for non-Bishamon Sword issen only clears, as the fights will look the same as this but with much tighter inputs, which I don't think is worth the time investment when the sword exists already. So as far as Onimusha uploads go, for now I think this'll be it, as I have other things I need to work on for the coming weeks. I did want to put together a story dedicated video, but that'll have to come a bit later unfortunately.
Lastly, for the most part I kept the bosses in order of the game, but I put the Ifuu and Burai fight first as I think that's one of the most cinematic fights in the game. It does mean things are out of order, but I felt that was a better starting point.
