UKRAINE-KRIEG: Mega-Gipfel! "Wladimir Putin wird heute seinen wohl wichtigsten Verbündeten treffen!"In Kirgistan beginnt am Montag ein Gipfel der Shanghaier Organisation für Zusammenarbeit, zu dem unter anderen der russische Präsident Wladimir Putin, sein chinesischer Kollege Xi Jinping sowie der iranische Präsident Massud Peseschkian erwartet werden. Etwa ein Dutzend Staatenlenker wollen bei dem zweitägigen Treffen in der Hauptstadt Bischkek das 25-jährige Bestehen des Bündnisses begehen.
Der Shanghaier Organisation für Zusammenarbeit gehören China, Belarus, Indien, der Iran, Pakistan, Russland sowie vier zentralasiatische Staaten an. Weitere 16 Länder sind als Beobachter oder "Dialogpartner" angegliedert. China und Russland nutzen die Organisation, um ihre Beziehungen zu zentralasiatischen Staaten zu stärken und ein Gegengewicht zu Zusammenschlüssen westlicher Staaten wie der Nato zu etablieren.
