Après 489 jours de détention dans les tunnels du 'Hamas, où il était retenu seul, dans des conditions particulièrement difficiles, Sacha Trupanov a été libéré lors d'un accord. Depuis le 7 Octobre, des épreuves plus dures les unes que les autres se succèdent pour Sacha, dont la mère, la grand-mère et la fiancée seront toutes trois faites otages par le 'Hamas. Durant toute sa captivité, il pense que son père aussi est captif, mais celui-ci a en fait été assassiné dès le 7 Octobre.Pourtant, rien ne semble détruire Sacha, animé par une force inouïe qu'il attribuera après sa captivité aux prières du peuple juif. Lui qui est entré athée dans la captivité, en sortira complètement changé et profondément croyant.
A la caméra de Torah-Box, il lance un appel poignant à tous les juifs de France : "Priez pour les otages, et renforcez vous ne serait-ce que par une petite Mitsva, quelle que soit votre proximité avec le judaïsme."
