Il generale Luciano Garofano, ex comandante del RIS di Parma, ha rinunciato al ruolo di consulente tecnico in due procedimenti mediaticamente rilevanti: quello sulla morte di Liliana Resinovich e quello legato al delitto di Garlasco, in cui era consulente della difesa di Andrea Sempio.La difesa di Sebastiano Visintin, marito di Liliana Resinovich e unico indagato nella vicenda, ha confermato la rinuncia di Garofano all’incarico assunto nel luglio 2023. Tra le attività richieste dall’ex comandante figura l’esame del microbiota, una tecnica che prevede il prelievo di un frammento di tessuto per stimare la data del decesso. A questo lavoro, particolarmente delicato, aveva partecipato anche la consulente tecnica della difesa Noemi Procopio, collaboratrice di Garofano.
