DONALD TRUMP: Harte Maßnahmen gegen Kriminalität in Washington DC – Einsatz der NationalgardeUS-Präsident Donald Trump hat in einer Pressekonferenz drastische Maßnahmen gegen Kriminalität in Washington DC angekündigt. Die Mordrate der US-Hauptstadt liege inzwischen höher als in Bogotá oder Mexiko-Stadt. Trump will die Metropolitan Police unter Bundeskontrolle stellen und zusätzlich die Nationalgarde einsetzen, um Gangs, Drogenhandel und Gewalt einzudämmen. Er kündigte ein Ende der Kaution gegen Geld für schwere Straftaten an und machte die Demokraten für steigende Gewalt verantwortlich. Ziel sei es, die öffentliche Sicherheit schnell wiederherzustellen und die Hauptstadt von Kriminalität zu befreien.
