Traveling to COP30 with Tamera Munduruku | WWF

Join Tamera Munduruku from the Tapajós region of Pará, Brazil, as she shares her journey to and through COP30, the world’s biggest UN climate conference.

In this video diary, Tamera talks about how she prepared, her hopes, and why bringing the voices of her people and the Amazon’s waters to the global stage matters.

Tamera is part of the Water Defenders Course, a training program that helps women, Indigenous Peoples, and local communities protect their rivers and take part in decisions about water governance. This work is coordinated by WWF-Brazil, in partnership with territory organizations. Through the WWF Network, the project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and supported by Reckitt, which financed scholarships for participants.

Her story is part of a larger movement: communities and Indigenous leaders working together to keep rivers alive, protect their cultures, and build fair and inclusive water management for the future.
