REPOST: In July 2023, a man named Adnan who ran a soda shop was accused of spitting on the Mahakal procession. The accusation was made on the basis of a video. When The Quint's fact-checking team investigated the clip and cross-checked the allegations, we found no corroborative evidence of Adnan spitting on the procession. Despite this, the administration carried out bulldozer action on his house and he had to spend 151 days in the jail.
