Wisata Lorong Sejarah Dibuka, Warga Bisa Naik Mobil Maung Keliling Kompleks Kemenhan
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Masuk kawasan ring satu pusat Kota Jakarta, membuat Gedung Kementerian Pertahanan tak mudah diakses publik.Kini, pemerintah membuka pintu untuk warga melihat lebih dekat Kantor Menteri Pertahanan, sekaligus belajar sejarah lewat wisata Lorong Kemenhan.
Didampingi pemandu wisata dari Kemenhan, pengunjung pertama kali diajak melihat Patung Bung Karno dan Tugu Api Abadi.
Posisinya persis di depan Gedung Jenderal Soedirman, Kompleks Kementerian Pertahanan, Medan Merdeka Barat, Jakarta Pusat.
Selanjutnya wisatawan melewati pintu belakang Gedung Soedirman dan memulai napak tilas di Lorong Sejarah.
Di sana sejarah perjuangan kemerdekaan bangsa sejak akhir era Hindia Belanda 1942 hingga kerja-kerja pemerintah dipaparkan dalam visual.
Selanjutnya, warga juga berkesempatan naik mobil 'Maung' dengan kapasitas mesin 2.500 cc produksi PT Pindad untuk keliling Kompleks Kemenhan.
Respons positif disampaikan para pengunjung dalam wisata Lorong Sejarah ini.
Kementerian Pertahanan punya alasan membatasi akses publik berwisata di Kompleks Kementerian, satu kali sebulan.
Walau menjadi representasi kedekatan pemerintah dengan rakyat, namun area kantor masih aktif dipakai bekerja, khususnya Menteri dan Wakil Menteri.
Untuk bisa mengunjungi wisata lorong ini, pengunjung perlu mendaftarkan diri atau membeli tiket ke Museum Nasional agar dapat mendapatkan akses.
Wisata edukasi Lorong Sejarah dapat memberikan informasi mengenai identitas dan perjuangan bangsa Indonesia.
Wisata ini diharapkan juga membuat masyarakat mengetahui lebih rinci mengenai pertahanan Indonesia saat ini.
