Präsident Trump hat nach einem Angriff der USA auf den Iran erklärt, dass die Atomanlagen des Landes komplett zerstört worden seien. Es gebe jedoch noch andere Ziele, die man attackieren könne, sofern der Iran nicht bereit sei, Frieden zu schließen, sagt Trump in einer Rede an die Nation. Künftige Angriffe würden weitaus heftiger. Der Iran stehe vor der Wahl zwischen Frieden und einer Tragödie, so Trump weiter.Während Israel, das aktuell Krieg mit dem Iran führt, die Bombardierungen begrüßte, gab es aus dem Iran selbst aber auch aus anderen Staaten wie China heftige Kritik an dem Militäreinsatz. Bundeskanzler Merz hat mit dem Sicherheitskabinett beraten. Am Morgen hat er zudem mit seinen Amtskollegen in Frankreich und Großbritannien gesprochen.
