Mereka tewas seusai Angkutan Personel Lapis Baja (APC) jenis Puma milik Zionis, diledakkan oleh Pasukan Perlawanan Palestina.
Fakta tersebut bahkan telah dikonfirmasi langsung oleh militer Israel pada Rabu (25/6/2025) hari ini.
Proses identifikasi jenazah dilaporkan sempat tertunda lantaran tujuh jenazah tersebut berada dalam kondisi mengenaskan.
Penyergapan di Khan Younis ini kemudian menandai salah satu insiden tunggal paling mematikan bagi Israel dalam beberapa minggu terakhir.
Media Zionis menanggapi kejadian nahas itu sebagai insiden yang "sangat sulit untuk diterima," teruma ketika mengingat korban berasal dari dua unit berbeda.
Secara tidak langsung, mereka menandai penyergapan itu menunjukkan kemampuan hebat Perlawanan Palestina dalam operasi Jalur Gaza.
Insiden ini terjadi di tengah perang antara Israel dan Gaza yang masih berlanjut di tanah Palestina.
