Szijjártó Péter nem tart tőle, hogy további lehallgatások kerülnek nyilvánosságra a telefonbeszélgetéseiből, azt pedig nem tartja különlegesnek, hogy az uniós tanácskozásokon elhangzottakról egyeztet harmadik országok képviselőivel, köztük Szergej Lavrov orosz külügyminiszterrel.

Hétfőn került nyilvánosságra egy hangfelvétel, amin Panyi Szabolcs oknyomozó újságíró arról beszél, hogy európai szolgálatok lehallgatták Szijjártó Péter és Szergej Lavrov beszélgetését. A Fidesz és a kormánymédia szerint Panyi Szabolcs segített ezeknek a szolgálatoknak, ő azonban azt mondja, hogy semmi köze a külügyminiszter lehallgatásához.
