Die mögliche Übernahme der Commerzbank durch UniCredit sorgt weiter für Streit. Für Robert Halver geht es dabei um mehr als einen Bankendeal: „Das ist eine Frage der finanziellen Souveränität.“ Der Kapitalmarktanalyst der Baader Bank kritisiert vor allem die deutsche Politik: „Die letzte große Reform in Deutschland war unter Schröder.“ Gleichzeitig hätten die deutschen Banken ihre Hausaufgaben gemacht und seien heute deutlich stabiler. Doch Deutschland müsse wieder attraktiver für Investoren werden. Denn: „Das Kapital geht dahin, wo die Rendite ist.“ Wenn Unternehmen und Anleger in die USA, nach Asien oder Osteuropa ausweichen, gefährde das langfristig Wachstum und Arbeitsplätze.
