In the aftermath, Lincoln and his commander, McClellan, launched the Peninsula Campaign, hoping to take the Confederate capital of Richmond during the Seven Days Battles and win the war quickly. (https://youtu.be/7ky86GF-cW0). These events allowed Lee to go on an offensive, leading to the second battle of Manassas (Bull Run), Cedar Mountai,n and Antietam (https://youtu.be/RNUA2vEklIQ). The war continued with the battles of Chancellorsville and Fredericksburg in 1862 (https://youtu.be/2FWziwTQOFA), and the hostilities peaked at Gettysburg in 1863 (https://youtu.be/HXPYeONfF90).
