LUXUS-FLÜGE FÜR ABGEORDNETE: "Frage ist nicht, was der Flug kostet, weil im Ganzen sind es Peanuts"Während Bundesbürger zum Sparen aufgerufen werden, hebt der Bundestag buchstäblich ab: Seit September dürfen Abgeordnete bereits ab zwei Stunden Flugzeit wieder Business Class fliegen – eine Rücknahme der Sparregel aus dem Frühjahr, die Economy bis vier Stunden vorschrieb. Die Entscheidung wurde ohne öffentliche Ankündigung umgesetzt, sorgt nun aber für Empörung. Kritiker sprechen von „Selbstbedienung“, zumal die Begründung – Schutz vertraulicher Unterlagen – fragwürdig erscheint. Der Bundestagsetat steigt trotz sinkender Abgeordnetenzahl weiter an. Kolumnist Henryk M. Broder urteilt trocken: „Hauptsache Business Class – auch wenn keiner Orwell liest.“
