Video insiden tersebut beredar di media sosial hingga menjadi viral.
Rekaman yang diambil dari atap sebuah gedung menunjukkan, seseorang dikejar oleh demonstran sebelum diselamatkan oleh sekelompok orang di lokasi.
Wajah orang tersebut memang tidak terlihat jelas, namun beberapa saksi mengidentifikasinya sebagai Menteri Paudel.
Insiden ini terjadi di tengah demonstrasi rusuh yang dimotori gen Z. Para demonstran juga mengincar kediaman Perdana Menteri KP Sharma Oli dan Presiden Ram Chandra Poudel.
Presiden Ram Chandra Paudel telah menerima pengunduran diri KP Sharma Oli dan telah memulai proses untuk menentukan pengganti.
Para demonstran juga membakar gedung parlemen dan Mahkamah Agung di Ibu Kota Kathmandu.
