劇場先行版『風を継ぐもの -はじまり-』の公開を記念し、監督やLive2D、ドライブをはじめとしたクリエイター陣にスポットを当てたスペシャル番組。ナビゲーターににじさんじ所属のVTuber・甲斐田晴、ナレーションにクロスケ役の大森日雅を迎え、各クリエイター陣へのインタビューや制作現場への潜入取材などの映像をお届けいたします。

【INTRODUCTION】
新選組―――
これはあの日、あの時、確かに、そこにいた。そんな彼らの物語。
激動の時代に生きた若者たちの刹那の青春を、
オリジナルTVアニメーションとして丁寧な描写と新解釈で描き出す『風を継ぐもの』。
脚本は演劇集団キャラメルボックスを創立し、これまでも数多くの人気舞台を手掛け、
なかでも新選組をテーマとした舞台『風を継ぐ者』をはじめとした「立川迅助シリーズ」が
演劇ファン、さらには歴史ファンからも厚い支持を受けている劇作家・成井豊が担当。
音楽はロックバンド・くるりのボーカリスト／ギタリストとして知られる岸田繁が
初めてTVアニメーションの劇伴を手掛け、作品世界を盛り上げる。
監督は劇場アニメーション『GAMBA ガンバと仲間たち』などで3DCGによる
美しい映像を生み出した河村友宏が務め、アニプレックス、Live2D、ドライブとタッグを組み
Live2Dとセルアニメーションの技術を融合したまったく新しい映像表現に挑む。
そして2027年1月のTV放送に先駆け、11月13日より2週間限定での先行上映が決定。
記憶喪失の主人公・立川迅助の壬生浪士組の仲間たちとの邂逅と局長筆頭・芹沢鴨とのエピソードが上映される。
豪華布陣、キャストで描かれる新感覚本格時代劇アニメーション「風を継ぐもの」がスクリーンを駆けぬける――
【物語】
文久3年6月。
京都・壬生浪士組屯所に記憶を失ったひとりの隊士が運び込まれる。
そんな彼に手を差し伸べたのは壬生浪士組助勤・沖田総司。
「あなたの名前は立川迅助ですよ」
そこから始まる記憶喪失の迅助の、隊士としての日々。
強烈な個性をもった隊士たちが集まった壬生浪士組は、
京の人々から“壬生の狼”と恐れられながらも着実に勤皇派を取り締まっていく。
しかし、壬生浪士組局長筆頭・芹沢鴨の行き過ぎたやり方を巡って
隊内には徐々に不穏な空気が流れはじめる。
誠の正義とは何なのか——
迅助の目の前で実行される決断とは——。
