Was bedeutet es in diesen Zeiten Marinesoldat bei der Bundeswehr zu sein? Y-Kollektiv-Reporter Lukas Wiehler darf exklusiv, als erstes TV-Team seit 10 Jahren, an Bord der Gorch Fock mitsegeln. Er bekommt Einblick in den Ausbildungsalltag auf dem Schulungsschiff der Deutschen Marine. Für dreizehn Tage lebt er zwischen den Azoren und Irland als Crewmitglied mit den Offiziersanwärtern zusammen.13 Tage zwischen Drill, Gehorsam und Kameradschaft.
Was sind das für junge Menschen, die sich bei der Marine ausbilden lassen? Wie gehen sie mit der wachsenden Kriegsgefahr um, wie mit Pflichterfüllung, Druck und hohem Seegang? Und: Wie erlebt der Reporter die Überfahrt auf dem großen Segelschiff?
