One Year of Pahalgam Attack: Multiple people are feared dead and several others have been injured as terrorists opened fire at tourists in Jammu & Kashmir's Pahalgam on Tuesday, April 22. Security forces and medical teams were rushed to Pahalgam's Baisaran Valley, and the area was cordoned off. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is presently on a state visit to Saudi Arabia, condemned the attack and vowed to punish those responsible for it. In a telephonic conversation, PM Modi also asked Union Home Minister Amit Shah to visit the attack site and take all necessary measures. J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also condemned the attack. Informing that an anti-terror operation has been launched to neutralise the terrorists, J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said: "The perpetrators of Pahalgam attack will have to pay a very heavy price for their heinous act". Meanwhile, The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has claimed responsibility for the attack.---
