Mahfud menilai penetapan tersangka Hasto oleh KPK bukan tindakan kriminalisasi namun sejatinya adalah politisasi.
Dikutip dari Warta Kota hal itu disampaikan Mahfud MD melalui podcast yang tayang di channel Youtubenya pada Rabu (26/2).
Dalam podcast itu, Mahfud membeberkan penahanan Hasto adalah bentuk politisasi hukum.
Lantas, hal itu digunakan untuk menghancurkan musuh dan menyelamatkan kawan yang juga terlibat korupsi.
Sementara penahanan Hasto memang menjadi polemik.
Kemudian, Ketum PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri mengambil langkah dengan memberikan instruksi kepada kadernya untuk menunda ikut retreat.
Mahfud menilai dua kejadian itu harus dipisah pembahasannya.
Ia mengatakan bahwa penahanan Hasto memang dinilai janggal oleh banyak orang.
Mahfud MD menerangkan bentuk kriminalisasi yakni orang yang tidak bersalah.
Namun tetap dituduh hingga didakwa melakukan perbuatan melawan hukum
Dengan pengertian itu, Mahfud berpendapat hal yang terjadi pada Hasto bukan kriminalisasi, melainkan politisasi hukum.
