Scontro frontale nella giornata di venerdì 9 gennaio, intorno alle 13, a Castelvetro, lungo la strada statale 10 Padana Inferiore. A scontrarsi frontalmente sono stati un’auto, condotta da un uomo di 60 anni residente a Cremona, e un autotreno che trasportava mangime per animali.Secondo una prima ricostruzione, la macchina stava procedendo in direzione Cremona, mentre il mezzo pesante viaggiava verso Monticelli. All’altezza del cavalcavia ferroviario della linea di Cremona, per cause ancora in fase di accertamento, l’auto avrebbe sbandato, invadendo la corsia opposta e impattando violentemente contro il camion in arrivo.L’impatto è stato particolarmente violento: la motrice dell’autotreno è finita fuori strada, ribaltandosi e con il primo cassone che ha perso completamente il carico sul manto stradale, mentre l’auto è andata completamente distrutta.
